Strong Sun Full Moon on July 18

Strong Sun Workshop on July 20

Strong Sun Moon reflects the Sun on the longest day of the year.

This year, the Strong Sun Moon occurs weeks after the solstice. Nevertheless, while we're well into summer, it's almost hard to imagine that the days are already beginning to shorten as we move towards the shortest day of the year or the winter solstice on December 21.

With the strong sun of the summer days, nature goes into overdrive and begins its burst of strong growth to produce its crop before the fall harvest time. Nature relies on the strong sun to create growth that is strong enough to withstand the intense sunlight, the winds of summer storms, and the weight of the crop.

Now is the time to capitalize on the strong sun to help you move into overdrive yourself with your own plans and efforts, so that you can accomplish what you want. This is the time of high performance, high energy summer work.

When we synchronize our efforts with the solar seasons and the lunar cycle and nature, then our lives move more effortlessly, more easily. We have a better experience of the world. Rather than having to force our way through a day, we can sense the energy necessary, and bend or shift as necessary. Rather than be buffeted by the waves in the ocean, we can surf then to shore, or if that wasn't the perfect wave, then duck under its force and wait for the one that suits our purposes. This ability to sense and synchronize ourselves with the seen and unseen energies around us can make the difference between loving life or continuing to pursue life.

What kind of life do you have and do you want? Are they the same? If not, use this summer sun to create it.

Next Month: Ripe Berries Moon -- time to begin to harvest early fruits
